New series to explore majors, career paths and advice of campus faculty

02/11/18

NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. — A new series organized by the Penn State New Kensington Academic and Career Success Center aims to highlight faculty members, academic majors and more. The first “Faculty Matters” panel is scheduled for Feb. 19 at 12:20 p.m. (Common Hour) in the campus Conference Center.

The first panel will feature campus engineering faculty who will discuss their educational and career backgrounds, as well as answer questions and give advice about the field.

Students in engineering majors, as well as those who may be interested in engineering, are encouraged to attend the session.

The timing of the event also falls at the beginning of National Engineers Week, which runs from Feb. 18 through Feb. 24.

For those who can’t attend the panel in person, a live stream of the event will be available on the campus’ Facebook page at www.facebook.com/pennstatenewkensington
